Since 1962

The Roncucci family founded Habitat relying on their long history of carpentry and their entrepreneurial spirit.
It was the direct result of the previous experience they gained from the production of bedroom furniture and the sale of furniture in various smaller stores spread throughout the province of Siena beginning in 1962.

In 1976, the Habitat store in Asciano, Siena was inaugurated, with a surface area of 3000 sqm.

In 1980 and again in 1990, the showroom and exterior of the store were completely renovated to be more in line with the times. In the Nineties, Habitat regularly participated in the industry trade shows organized in Siena and Arezzo with the objective of presenting and consolidating the company in an ever-expanding territory.
Over time, the company expanded its horizons, even going beyond the national borders. In 2006, the storage and sorting of goods was moved to a new 1000 sqm building, the current logistics hub for all the various stores.

The company’s actions have always been guided by a philosophy characterized by a solid inclination for researching new products and improving the services offered to customers, drawing on a vast experience gained over the past 60 years.

In 2011, Habitat expanded the showroom floor, creating HabitatLab, a shop-in-shop dedicated to home décor (fabrics, curtains, rugs, and other similar items).

In 2012, the facade was redone in its current form.
At the beginning of 2014, a restyling of the interior of the showroom began, bringing new products and new energy!

In 2015, Habitat inaugurated a new store in Siena entirely dedicated to kitchen furniture.

In 2021, Habitat created Habi-bath, a space entirely dedicated to bathroom décor, made richer by a vast “materioteca” full of flooring, wall coverings, marble and everything necessary to decorate a room that is increasingly important to people’s wellbeing. In the same year, the Veneta Cucine store in Siena was completely updated from the display layout to the kitchens, with the addition of the latest-generation materials and fixtures.
